Churchyard Trails for Romsey Festival 2021
Two of our churches are delighted to be taking part in this year's Romsey Festival events with churchyard trails suitable for all ages.
Romsey Festival is held every three years and celebrates Art and Culture in and around Romsey. This year it runs from Saturday 3rd - Sunday 18th July with a wide range of events.
Two of our churches are delighted to be taking part in this year’s events with churchyard trails suitable for all ages at:
- St. John the Baptist, North Baddesley: 3rd - 18th July
- St. Mark Church, Ampfield: 3rd - 16th July
At each church we are inviting people to start at the church door and follow a numbered trail which will take them on a tour of the churchyard.
The trails will include interesting facts about history, nature and the environment as well as finding clues which make up hidden words.
As well as being peaceful and reflective places churchyards also contain a wealth of interest within them. Therefore, we are hopeful that many people will not only find it fun learning from the clues on the trail but also enjoy the surrounding countryside in which these churchyards are situated.
If you find what the hidden words are then please let us know by emailing office@acnb-church.org
From 11am - 3pm on Sat 10th and Sun 11th July the church buildings will be open for visitors to look around and Romsey Festival celebration boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be on sale (cash only).
