The church and COVID-19
What have we done, what are we doing - and what can you do?
What’s happening with COVID?
After a year of disruption and shifting between different mixes of onsite and online, we’re starting to move back into our buildings - carefully, of course!
Just now, because of the limited number of places available, that means you need to check in advance that there’s space and book your place - and please let us know if things change and you can’t make it, because we will probably have people on a reserve list, just in case.
Since March 2020, we’ve maintained an active online schedule of services and activities. Huge thanks to all of you who have joined in, helped and watched our services from around the benefice. Rest assured that we are keeping an online presence, although it’s not possible to stream from all of our churches.
Throughout the pandemic, we have followed the government’s COVID advice and we continue to do so. We’ve done our own risk assessments as well, to help us decide what to do, and when.
As we start to do more in the buildings, please remember that we all have a part to play in keeping everyone safe. Since we don’t know who’s been vaccinated and how vulnerable anyone might be, it’s really important to keep to the rules. At the moment, that means being careful about masks and giving people plenty of space when in our buildings.
Remember:
- Hands
- Face
- Space
- Fresh air
Our pattern of worship tells you what services are where, and which you can watch online.
We’re always pleased to get feedback - and thanks for working with us as we take this next step together.
The ACNB team.
